WHAT WE FOUND

The claim conflates standard stadium seat design features with advanced cooling technology. While modern stadiums built for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar do utilize ventilation for spectators, these systems use diffusers and nozzles located in the floor or the riser directly beneath the seats rather than openings integrated into the seats themselves (1.2.9, 1.3.4). Conversely, the circular holes commonly found in standard plastic stadium seats are primarily designed for rainwater drainage and to prevent the plastic from warping or shrinking during the industrial injection molding process (2.4.1, 2.5.8). While high-end seating solutions like the Airo mesh seat are designed to be breathable to enhance the effectiveness of under-seat air conditioning, the air does not typically emerge from circular outlets within the seat's structural material (2.3.1). Readers are encouraged to view technical architectural diagrams of Al Janoub Stadium or Al Bayt Stadium to see the distinction between floor-mounted vents and seat drainage holes.
