TL;DR ·MTG confirmed Trump pressured her and colleagues via phone calls to drop Epstein transparency.
Marjorie Taylor Greene publicly stated that she and three colleagues, including Thomas Massie, were subjected to pressure from the White House to stop pushing for the release of Jeffrey Epstein’s files . Greene reported that Trump was furious over their stance and specifically cited a phone call where he urged her to stop her advocacy . Although Trump dismissed the Epstein files as irrelevant , the White House reportedly labeled the legislative push for transparency a hostile act . Following these events, Trump reportedly took political revenge on all four Republicans involved . Greene later criticized Trump's handling of the situation as traitorous and alleged that he stated her family deserved death threats after the public split .
