WHAT WE FOUND
The claim that Steve Jobs walked seven miles every Sunday for a free meal at the Hare Krishna temple is TRUE . In his 2005 Stanford commencement speech, Jobs stated that after dropping out of college, he would walk the seven miles across town every Sunday night to get one good meal a week at the Hare Krishna temple . During this period, he was reportedly homeless and earned money by returning Coke bottles for five-cent deposits to buy food . This experience occurred while he was a penniless college drop-out before founding Apple .
