“Vaccines cause autism in children.”
HIGH CONFIDENCE
TL;DR ·Extensive scientific research and major medical organizations have debunked any link between vaccines and autism.
Extensive scientific research and major medical organizations have consistently found no link between vaccines and autism . The CDC and the American Academy of Pediatrics state that studies have repeatedly failed to find a credible association between childhood immunizations and autism spectrum disorder . Specifically, the MMR vaccine has been confirmed not to increase the risk of autism . The NIH classifies the purported link as a myth and conspiracy theory that has contributed to outbreaks of preventable diseases . The origin of this claim, a 1998 paper, has been debunked because medical records did not support its findings regarding the timing of symptoms . There is no connection between vaccines and the development of autism , and approximately 85% of parents of children with autism now accept that vaccines were not the cause .
