FACT CHECK #BD5FOQDR

WHAT WE FOUND

The statement is a formal paraphrase of the opening line from Rick Astley's 1987 hit single Never Gonna Give You Up (1.3.3). In the original song, the lyric is We're no strangers to love, which serves to establish a theme of romantic commitment and emotional reliability (1.3.4). Because the phrase lacks specific real world subjects and originates from a musical composition, it does not constitute a verifiable factual claim. The song is globally recognized as the foundation of the Rickrolling internet meme, but no credible news reports from June 2026 associate this specific phrasing with a verifiable event or legal case. Readers should refer to the official lyrics of the song to understand the original context of the sentiment and judge its relevance for themselves (1.3.9).
