“Donald Trump requested a Nobel Peace Prize multiple times during his presidency.”
TL;DR ·Trump lobbied Norwegian officials and repeatedly stated his entitlement to the award publicly.
Evidence confirms Donald Trump repeatedly lobbied for the Nobel Peace Prize during his time in office . Sources indicate he called a Norwegian minister to inquire about the award and has frequently stated he deserves it . He has been described as pressing his case for the prize and expressed frustration when he did not win . This behavior was characterized as conflating nominations with winning and publicly complaining that the selection process was rigged against him . By early 2026, Trump explicitly cited the committee's decision not to award him the prize as a factor in his foreign policy rhetoric regarding Greenland .
