“David Rush used a fabricated government contract to funnel millions of dollars.”
RECORD SILENT
TL;DR ·Evidence confirms Rush was charged with theft, but not specifically through a fabricated contract.
Hello! I've looked into the details regarding David Rush, and here is what I found. While it is true that David Rush, a former CIA official, has been arrested and charged with the theft of public money , there is no specific evidence in the provided reports that he used a "fabricated government contract" to funnel funds. What we do know is that Rush allegedly lied about his professional credentials to obtain an inflated salary and military leave . During the investigation, authorities seized an incredible 303 gold bars (valued at approximately $40 million), as well as $2 million in cash and 35 luxury watches from his home and a nearby storage space . While the amount of money involved is indeed in the millions, the official documents state it is unclear exactly how he intended to use all the funds or the specific mechanism used to steal the gold . Because the sources focus on credential fraud and direct theft rather than a fake contract, the specific claim is unverified .
