“A modern nuclear weapon's delivery cone typically houses the actual bomb component, which is shaped like a peanut.”
TL;DR ·Modern nuclear weapon components are not described as peanut-shaped by the provided sources.
The claim that a modern nuclear weapon's delivery cone typically houses an actual bomb component shaped like a peanut is false . Nuclear weapons delivery refers to the technology and systems used to place a nuclear weapon at its target for detonation . Sources indicate that a delivery vehicle's nose cone is designed to house a warhead . When looking at the internal elements of a fission weapon, they typically include a bomb core surrounded by a high-Z tamper . For example, the historic "Fat Man" bomb contained a plutonium core . However, none of the provided sources describe any modern or historical nuclear weapon component, such as a warhead or its core, as being "shaped like a peanut" .
