“David Rush invented a fake top-secret spy program to steal money.”
TL;DR ·David Rush allegedly fabricated a secret intelligence program to steal $40 million in gold.
It appears that this claim is true based on recent legal filings and news reports from June 2026. Former CIA official David Rush has been charged with theft of public money after investigators discovered he allegedly created a fake black-box spy program . This fabricated top-secret program was used as a cover to siphon government funds, which he then reportedly used to acquire over $40 million in gold bars, cash, and luxury watches . While some experts have speculated about potential cover-ups , the core accusation is that Rush lied about credentials and invented secret programs to facilitate his scheme .
