“The Great Wall is visible from space.”
TL;DR ·The Great Wall is not visible from space or the moon with the naked eye.
WHAT WE FOUND
Hello! It’s a very common belief, but the idea that the Great Wall of China is visible from space is actually a popular myth . While this story has been told for generations, it has been conclusively debunked by multiple sources and even by astronauts who have been there . Because the wall is very thin and its materials are a similar color to the surrounding soil, it is nearly impossible for the human eye to distinguish it from the landscape . In fact, China's own astronaut, Yang Liwei, confirmed he could not see it from orbit . While you might be able to spot it using high-powered camera lenses, it is not visible to the naked eye from Earth's orbit and certainly not visible from the moon .
