FACT CHECK #FUOGSUOZ

WHAT WE FOUND

Hi friend! I looked into this for you. While it's true that Minnesota is dealing with some unprecedented fraud allegations, we can't officially say it has more than Florida because the data isn't fully available yet. Currently, federal agencies are investigating estimates of $9 billion to $18 billion in potential losses across 14 different programs 568. One specific case, the Feeding Our Future nonprofit, was even labeled the country’s largest COVID-19-related scam 19. Even though federal prosecutors have already secured many convictions 41015, sources indicate that Minnesota's actual national ranking for fraud is still unknown 12. Since we don't have a direct comparison to Florida's current fraud statistics in these records 1314, the claim remains UNVERIFIED. It is certainly a massive fraud disaster that officials are working hard to clean up! 117
